how often should i have my windows cleaned?

The Glass Association of North America (GANA) recommends cleanings when “dirt and residue appear.” Regular cleanings reduce the risk of harmful deposits which can damage glass. Common schedules are monthly cleanings for businesses and semi-annual for residential clients. Replacing glass is not cheap; let us help protect your investment.

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO GET HARD-WATER DEPOSITS OFF THE WINDOWS?

Yes, we use a calcium deposit removal compound and a lot of “elbow grease” to eliminate these white stains from your windows. One point to be aware of is that if you have your sprinkler system hitting your windows daily, the hard water deposits will return and they are very difficult to remove. The best preventative approach is to check your sprinklers and adjust them away from your windows. Many times home owners are not aware that their sprinklers hit the windows during windy conditions.

DO YOU CLEAN SCREENS AND SILLS?

Yes, we completely clean the windows, including sills, sashes, thresholds and screens.

DO YOU WASH HIGH WINDOWS?

Yes, we have all the equipment necessary to clean windows at any height. Our ladders are equipped with spreader bars and protective coverings to get to high windows yet still allow us to have the appropriate distance away from the glass to clean it properly. For some jobs, we use the Tucker Pole System to reach heights up to 40 feet while safely remaining on the ground. Other jobs require lifts that we rent to get the job done. You may have seen Curtis on one of these lifts while washing commercial buildings in downtown Bozeman.

I HAVE WINDOWS WITH MOISTURE BETWEEN THE PANES OF GLASS. MY WINDOWS ARE NOT OLD! CAN THIS BE CORRECTED?

This is referred to as IG (insulated glass) failure. Many windows stay clean after 30 years while others are clouded after only 3 months. If you are experiencing this, refer to your warranty information sooner rather than later. The reasons usually trace back to manufacturing mistakes or oversight. Even the best fabricators will have some failed units. However, the window is still defective and not your fault. Reputable glass providers will stand by their products.

Many times we can give you an estimate over the phone and other times we will visit your location.

This assures peace of mind knowing that we will not service your location before questionable weather. It is actually poor air quality and dust, not rain water, that soils windows. We will re-clean one window or the entire job if needed.
